Imphal, July 17 2015 :
When troops of 45 Assam Rifles were carrying out daily patrols on NH-2, they found one Tata Winger coming from Sekmai had slipped into a gorge near Khongampat village.
The injured passengers were trapped inside the vehicle and they were not able to come out of the vehicle.
As soon as the information was passed to the headquarters, additional troops along with the Commandant reached the location and rescued all the 19 passengers.
45 Assam Rifles administered first aid to the injured passengers and assisted them in reaching Imphal, said a press release issued by PRO IGAR (S) .
