Imphal, June 17 2022: National Revolutionary Front, Manipur (NRFM) has paid tribute to the 18 brave souls who gave the supreme sacrifice and others who were injured in the historic movement of June 18, 2001 on the eve of 21st Great June Uprising, Unity Day.

The statement from NRFM recalled the courage of the people of Manipur who took to the street in droves to protest against the signing of the Bangkok Declaration between the Government of India and NSCN-IM on June 14, 2001 .

The statement also urged the Northeastern States to recognise their alleged vulnerable position within the framework of the Indian Union.
