Imphal, July 15 2014: A one day free Diabetes & Thyroid Camp was organised today by Revital Diabetes & Pain Clinic, Lamlong Bazar of Imphal East district under the sponsorship of Cipla Pharmaceuticals in the interest of general public.

During the camp, diabetes awareness and counseling sessions regarding diabetes treatment, diet education, exercise, oral drugs and insulin injection techniques were communicated by a team of diabetes educators, dieticians and specialist doctors led by Dr Y Premchandra Singh MD, DFID (Diab),CMC Vellore, PG Dip (Endo, UK).

Eye check up and Diabetic Retinopathy screening was also done by a team of staff led by Ophthalmologist Dr Vikram.

Free Blood Sugar Test, Spirometry and Biothesiometer for nerve damage testing were also performed.

Sources from Revital Diabetes & Pain Clinic informed that such free camp will be organised on monthly basis so as to render humanitarian service for the benefit of the diabetes and thyroid patient.
