Encroachers evicted from Thoubal river bank

Thoubal, September 14 2022: Encroachers along Thoubal river in Keibung GP in Thoubal district were evicted by a team led by SDO Lilong today.

The team carried out eviction drives at Keibung Wangmataba, Khekmak Amakcham, Keibung Makha leikai, Huirongbam and Amomkom.

SDO Lilong Angom Shijalembi had issued an order on September 1 directing all people with illegal construction to vacate before September 7 .

Following the order more than 29 establishments were removed voluntarily but some had not followed the order.

About 30 establishments along the river bank in areas under Keibung GP were removed today.
