Imphal, May 14 2013: Members of the 1st North East india Mt Everest Expedition pose after reaching the 6400-metre Camp-II of the world's highest peak on May 14.The 11-member team include N Chingkheinganba, Kazi Sherpa, Ansu Jamsenpa, A Robert, N Bidyapati, Wansuk Myrthong, Nima Lama, Manishkumar Deka, Tarun Saikia, Anand Gurung and David Zohmang.

The team is expected to reach the summit on May 17 .

The 1st NE India Mt Everest expedition is being sponsored by NEC and Planning Dept (Manipur) and implemented by the Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association.

MMTA president Dr L Surjit is leading the expedition team.
