Imphal, November 12 2010:
At least three persons sustained injuries when an oil-tanker exploded accidentally.
A police source informed that an oil tanker caught fire accidentally at K Nilo workshop beside NH 53 at Patsoi Part I in Imphal West district at about 8 am today.
The oil tanker reportedly caught fire and exploded in the process of soldering its fuel tank, causing injuries to driver Thokchom Ibomcha (30) of Yairipok, second driver Chingtham Tomba (21) of Kumbi and mechanic Athung (25) of Nungba.All three of them have been admitted in Shija Hospital.
By the impact of the explosion, GI sheets covering roof of the workshop were blown away.
