Imphal, October 12 2017:
All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) today said that the office of Principal Secretary (Tribal Affairs and Hills) was locked as the demand to right the wrong in the department regarding the appointment of Deputy Director, TRI remained unheeded .
In a statement, AMSU said that the reopening of the locked office would not be allowed until a positive solution is brought about .
AMSU asked the motive behind giving offer form to one candidate for the post of Joint Director, TRI by ignoring a genuine candidate recommended by the MPSC for the post of Deputy Director .
AMSU also affirmed to sustain its agitation until justice is delivered and added that the Government should be held responsible for any consequence arising thereof.
