Imphal, February 12 2022: At least 44 members of seven CPI branches have resigned from the primary membership of the party.

A press release issued by CPI Wangjing Wangkhei Branch stated that they took the decision denouncing the formation of an alliance between Congress party and five Left parties ahead of the 2022 Assembly election.

The seven branches are Kairembikhok branch, Wangjing Wangkhei branch, Tentha Leima Konjin branch, Tentha Khunou branch, Tentha Khongbal branch and Wangjing SK (M) branch.
