Imphal, January 08 2014: Accused in the killing of N Satyabhama�Toijam Thesus alias James S/o T Jugindro of Thambalkhong Sabal Leikai; Thoudam Jibon S/o (L) Th Thoiba of Irilbung Machahal Mayai Leikai and Kshetrimayum Biju alias Ho-lendro S/o Ibungo of Irilbung Bazar, were produced before the Court of District and Sessions Judge, Manipur East today.

Prosecution witnesses of the case, the father and sister of the victim testified before the Court.

The Defence Coun-sel also cross-examined the witnesses.

The next hearing is slated for January 25, according to Meihoubam Rakesh, who assisted the Public Prosecutor in the case.

Ningombam Satyabhama (31) d/o N Tomba of Kakwa Selungba Leikai was found dead at Bashikhong Wang-khei Loumanbi under Irilbung PS in Imphal East district on April 5 last year.

She was doing a research on DBT Project as a Junior Research Fellow in the Pathology Dept of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) .
