Imphal, October 04 2014 : A National integration tour, organised by 2 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South), was flagged off from Thoubal yesterday by Brigadier VT Mathew, Commander 9 Sector Assam Rifles.

Twenty school children hailing from areas adjoining Thoubal are taking in the 15-day tour, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .

The tour under the initiative of IGAR (South) will cover important historical places in Hampi and Bangalore and will give an exposure to the children on culture of South India.

The tour also endeavours to show the children, the rich cultural diversity of the Nation and to educate them about people, language, architecture and history of South India, according to the press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
