Waikhong, Thongjao meira paibi demands

Thoubal, September 04 2014: A huge number of Waikhong and Thongjao Meira Paibis flocked towards the Waikhong Police Station today demanding severe punishment of Oinam sanahanbi devi, w/o O Ibomcha, Waikhom Manai Tangsam Leikai.

Mention may be made here, O Sanatombi was accused of duping a self employment rural organisation by mortgaging fake gold to the organisation for a sum of Rs 3 lakh.

She was arrested by Waikhong Police on August 31 and was later presented at the Court of JMIC, Thoubal on September 1.She is currently under police custody, a press statement informed.

The meira paibis demanding severe punishment of the accused, also drafted a letter to the OC stating their demands.
