Imphal, February 02 2014: Governor Vinod Kumar Duggal today visited Manipur Baptist Convention Centre Church to assess the Church environment community representation.

Interaction with those present at the occasion, the Governor said every religious institutions should strive for lasting peace and development in the State.

Conveying to the Church leaders about his purpose of visit, he queried on whether the Church is exclusively for the tribal people and if there is any problem besetting the religious institution.

In reply, MBC Centre Church pastor L Simon Raomei informed that the Church service is attended by people from various communities settled in Manipur and that the Church members join in the celebration of festivals of other communities.

Besides Raomei, MBC general secretary Dr W Konghar, deacons and Children church functionaries also interacted with the Governor.
