Imphal, January 31 2017: Information Centre for Hill Areas Manipur (ICHAM) has congratulated its adviser BB Sharma, veteran journalist and social activist on being nominated as a member of the Gauhati University Court by the Chancellor of Gauhati University, Banawari Lal Purahit, who is also the Governor of Assam.

BB Sharma will be a member of the highest body of Gauhati University for a period of three years.

A notification to this effect was issued by the Governor's Secretariat, Assam, according to a statement.
