Imphal, December 31 2014 : Two IPS officers of 1984 batch have been appointed to the rank of DGP with effect from January 1, 2015 .

An order to this effect was passed today.

Santosh Macherla, IPS has been promoted as the DGP of Intelligence while PM Goud, IPS has been promoted as DGP in charge of armed police, training and home guard.
