Many extend support to Ram Muivah

Many scholars, students and activists of Tangkhul community in Delhi during an interaction programme extended their support to Ram Muivah, IAS (R) as a candidate of Naga People Front (NPF) for 44 Assembly Constituency, Ukhrul District in the ensuing Manipur Legislative Assembly Election.
The programme was organised in the presence of Tangkhul Katamnao Long Delhi (TKLD) president, Hansing Ngangzoyo Ahungshi; general secretary, Ngachanphy Vashum; Tangkhul Shanao Ngarum Saklong president, Yaoreiphy Horam; president of Naga Student Union (NSUD) and other executive members in Delhi, said a statement from convenor, Kahorngam Zimik.
It may be mentioned that Ram Muivah had spent his 35 years long career as IAS Officer in various capacities and Ministries, and departments in the Government of India and Government of Manipur.

During his career as an Indian Administrative Officer, he has proven his commitment to development and social justice, working to help the poor people not only in the Tangkhul Community and Ukhrul district but also the Northeastern Region (NER) as well.
Speaking on the occasion, Isaac Charenamei said, "I can think of no other candidate more qualified to serve as an elected Legislative Member than Ram Muivah".
Yaoreiphy Horam further claimed that Ram Muivah is the most qualified, acceptable, and winnable NPF candidate from Ukhrul Assembly Constituency.
In addition, Ngachanphy Vashum brought out the issues of education in Ukhrul and the urgent need for transformation in the educational sphere.
During the interaction that touched on various issues concerning Naga society in general and particularly the Tangkhul community, Dr AC Kharingpam highlighted the lack of entrepreneurs in Tangkhul society and recognized the vision of Ram Muivah.
Advocate Worso Zimik also underscored the lack of political clarity and political ideology among many Naga political leaders who have been in the limelight.
The interaction programme was conducted by Dr Pamreihor Khashimwo, opening prayer was pronounced by Pastor Ringphangam Vashi and concluding remarks were delivered by Advocate Kahorngam Zimik, the convenor of the programme.
