Imphal, May 29 2024: Governor Anusuiya Uikey has expressed deep concern and sadness as incessant rainfall causes widespread floods across Manipur, and urged people to remain calm and not panic.

She said the State Government is committed to taking all necessary measures to prevent the situation from worsening.

The Government will extend all possible assistance to people who have been affected, she said.

A statement issued by the Raj Bhavan said the Governor is also urging the citizens to stay informed through official channels for any updates from the Government and follow the guidance provided by local authorities for safety and availing assistance.
