UCM offers tarpon

As a part of culmination of the Langban Heitha Leithaba (Tarpon) today the United Committee Manipur offered tribute to martyrs souls of the Great june 18 Uprising at Kekrupat Memorial Complex.
Talking to newspersons on the sideline of the closing observance of Tarpon, UCM president Yumnamcha Dilipkumar said conduct of rituals and paying obeisance to the departed souls is to remember their supreme sacrifice for the territorial unity of Manipur.
Lamenting that Kekrupat Memorial Complex has been transformed to a place of anti-social elements and grazing ground due to lack of initiative by the Government to protect the complex, he said in case the Government cannot maintain security the UCM is willing to provide service of its volunteers.
Dilipkumar also cautioned the Government that failure to resolve the Sadar Hill issue might trigger mass movement of the people for severe inconveniences being endured by the public due to the ongoing economic blockade is creating tension in various section of the society.
