Imphal, August 27 2022:
The State saw a huge decline in daily positive cases as only 2 cases were reported during the last 24 hours.
No Covid related fatalities were also reported during the period.
The two cases were reported from Imphal West district.
As only two cases were detected out of 341 samples tested at various testing centres, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.6 percent.
With the addition of the two cases during the last 24 hours, the cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,444 .
As no Covid related fatalities were reported during the last 24 hours, the death toll stayed at 2146 .
Today, five individuals were discharged from home isolation after completion of surveillance leaving 83 active cases in the State.
The recovery rate is 98.40 percent.
As many as 2834 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered yesterday.
With these, the State has vaccinated 62.31 percent of its eligible population with first dose of covid vaccines while 54.37 percent have received their second doses.
