Eco Guardian organizes Plastic Clean up campaign at Senapati

Senapati, May 26 2019: As part of The Himalayan Cleanup (THC) campaign conducted on May 26 across the Himalayan States, Eco Guardian, Senapati conducted a cleanliness drive in and around the main bazaar of Senapati headquarters, yesterday.

The event was also joined by several women vendors, volunteers of Senapati District Students Association and student leaders including the teachers, faculty members and students of the Hills Academy of Science, Senapati.

During the drive, the team collected over 682.4 Kg of plastics and tetra packs from Senapati and 327 Kg from Maram.

Similar programme was also carried out at Sagongbam village, Maram on the same morning where many members of Eco clubs came and took part in the drive.

Kaibi Students Union of Maheopfii also carried out cleanliness drive at Sobodziida under Tadubi Police Station, Senapati.

The drive participated by over 60 individuals was carried out under the leadership of Adani Loli and Athisii Jothan.

The Himalayan Cleanup (THC) was initiated in 2018 under the theme "Beat Plastic Pollution" .
