AAI's CSR activities: Foundation stone for playground construction laid at Kyamgei

Imphal, August 25 2020: With a bid to boost sporting spirit in the State through Airport Authority of India's CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities, The Director of Imphal International Airport, MN Ansari has today laid the foundation stone for construction of Kyamgei Heibong Makhong playground.

The foundation laying function to help augment the playground into a new enhanced structure was held at the office of the Kyamgei Youth Pioneer Club with strict observation of SOP issued on account of the COVID-19 situation in the State.

The function was attended by SS Raju, DGM of Imphal Airport; Dr PV Ramesh, former Chairman of Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd and Lily Rose.

Project Director, North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NER CORMP), Chandel among others as dignitaries.

Under AAI's (Airport Authority of India) CSR scheme, the playground will be supplemented with a gallery, fences along the boundaries will be erected and drainages will be constructed.

AAI through its CSR scheme, is currently constructing an indoor stadium at Somdal in Ukhrul district.

It is said that Ram Muivah, former Secretary of North Eastern Council has an immense role in realising these construction works at Kyamgei and Somdal.
