RPF condoles demise of former cadre

Imphal, July 25 2022:
Apart from paying
homage and revolutionary tribute, the proscribed
Revolutionary People's Front
(RPF) organised condolence
meets at all its units, departments and stations on the
demise of Shonggam (Kaka)
alias Lokchingwang of Wangoo Ahallup Awang Leikai,
who succumbed after prolonged illness on Saturday
in his home.
He was 76 years
of age.
Informing his real name is
Loitongbam Biradhaja, son of
Loitongbam Kharajao Meitei
and Meipakpi, a statement
of the RPF said he joined the
outfit in 1993 at the age of
50 and was given honorary
discharge by the outfit on
June 4, 2010 .
Despite joining
the outfit at the age of 50,
Shonggam completed PLA's
Basic Military Training on
April 15, 1996 and outfit's
War Office allotted him Army
No 0997 .
Describing Shonggam
as vigorous, fresh and
hard-working revolutionary,
who executed assigned tasks
successfully all the time, the
statement issued by assistant
publicity secretary Bangkim
said Shonggam always advocated for a united Manipur
without any differentiation of
hills and valley people.
It also
said that Shonggam steadfastly worked for the motherland
till his last breath.
The outfit
also shared pains and sorrow
Shonggam's bereaved family,
relative and well-wishers.
