Imphal, July 23 2024: Altogether 23 alleged drug users were pulled by SOREPA's anti-drug task force from North AOC today.

Parading the alleged drug users before the media at a location in Thoubal district this evening, one spokesman of SOREPA decried that drug dealers have been paying no heed to the sustained campaign undertaken by Meira Paibis and womenfolk against drugs for the last many decades.

The drug dealers have been playing a big role in destroying the society by ensuring abundant and uninterrupted supply of drugs to a large number of youth, the spokesman said.

Saying that the SOREPA decided to launch a campaign against drugs following calls from the public to check the drug menace, the spokesman sought cooperation from the masses.
