Senapati, December 22 2020:
The United Naga Council (UNC) has clarified that it had nothing to do with the deferment of the Cabinet meeting at Kamjong which was reportedly proposed for December 16, 2020 .
The UNC said that there are some elements who attached the deferment of the proposed Cabinet meeting to the 'hill-valley' relationship and termed it as ridiculous.
The UNC accused Congress party leader K Ranjit of trying to gain political mileage from the deferment of the Cabinet meeting.
"Mr K Ranjit should not make a mountain out of a mole-hill for his interests including electoral benefits," said the UNC, while asking the Congress leader not to drag in the name of UNC into a non-issue.
The UNC also said that the "hill-valley relationship" has nothing to do with the Cabinet meeting postponement but some people have unnecessarily raked up
the issue.
The UNC added that Naga people always support peaceful living, understanding and a healthyrelationship among all communities of the State by respecting each other's identity, land, political rights and history.
