Training for piggery farmers at Phungreitang, Ukhrul

Imphal, March 20 2012: Under the aegis of Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Services, Government of Manipur, a four-day long training programme for piggery farmers began since yesterday at Phungreitang, Ukhrul district.

In all 50 piggery farmers are participating in the training programme being organized under the sponsorship of RKVY with the stated objective of promoting pig production in the district with the help of modern farming technology.

The inaugural function of the training programme was attended by Assistant Director (Agriculture), UKhrul MC Paul; Joint Director (Veterinary), Ukhrul Dr Th Debendrakumar Singh and Chief Executive Officer (Fishery), Ukhrul Khamasing Ahum as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.
