Imphal, February 19 2021:
Majority of the customers who come to the three Ima markets of Khwairamband which have been re-opened recently after a gap of almost one year are not adhering to the COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB), asserted MLA AK Mirabai.
The Congress MLA made this observation during zero hour in the State Assembly today.
She said that majority of the customers at the three Ima Keithels do not wear face masks and there is no physical distance to the prescribed length between two persons.
Pointing out that there are reports of detection of a new strain of Covid virus in Maharashtra, Mirabai said COVID-19 cannot be assumed to be full controlled.
She then appealed to the leader of the House (Chief Minister) to pay special attention to the three Ima Keithels.
Notably, all the three Ima Keithels were closed down in March last year even before the first case of COVID-19 was detected in the State.
The markets were re-opened on February 15 .
