Jiribam, September 18 2011: Khundrakpam Rajkumar who was arrested by Jiri Police yesterday on the third day of his fast unto death stir over the demand of upgrading Jiribam sub-division into a full fledged revenue district has been put in security ward of CHC Jiribam.

However, Rajkumar remains steadfast to his commitment and is continuing his fast in police custody.

Meanwhile, around 100 womenfolk belonging to different communities of Jiribam like Kuki, Hmar and Paite has been continuing the relay hunger strike which started since September 15 in solidarity to Rajkumar and the Jiribam district demand.

The relay hunger strike is being staged in front of MSF Jiribam office from 10 am to 5 pm every day.
