Naga CSOs set date with 'mainland India'

Dimapur, December 17 2012:
Civil society organisations from mainland India and the Naga frontal organisations will have a two-day consultative meeting next month on the Indo-Naga political issue.
Sources said the consultative meeting is likely to be held in the second week of January either in New Delhi or in Dimapur.
About 60 civil society groups from mainland India will be participating in the proposed event, sources informed Newmai News Network.
From the Nagas' side, the Naga Hoho will be leading the delegation.
Sources added that various issues and viewpoints will be put across with regard to the Indo-Naga political issue in the consultative meeting.
The Naga Hoho, in the mean time has called a meeting of all the Naga frontal bodies on December 19 at Kohima in this connection.
Besides the Naga Hoho, representatives from the United Naga Council (UNC), Naga Mothers' Association (NMA), Naga Peoples' Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR), Naga Students' Federation (NSF), All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM), Naga Women Union and Naga organisations from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam will be participating in the consultative meeting.
The event was initiated by the civil society groups
of mainland India.
It is reported that for a long, long time efforts have been going on to have such a consultative meeting involving the mainland civil organisations and the Naga frontal bodies on the Indo-Naga political issue.
