The woman has been identified as Wangkhem Ongbi Eliza w/o Dinachandra of Langol Ningthou Leikai.
Speaking to reporters at Manipur Press Club, Eliza's husband Dinachandra said that his wife was a patient of Dr Nabakishore.
Dinachandra said that the couple consulted the doctor regularly during Eliza's pregnancy and according to the doctor everything was normal.
She was admitted to RIMS Hospital on May 9 and gave birth to a baby boy through caesarean section the next day, he added.
He said that one Dr Trinity carried out the caesarean section operation although the couple had been told by Dr Nabakishore that Eliza would experience normal child delivery.
Even as the baby was referred to a private hospital due to developing some complicacy, Eliza's condition was also becoming deteriorated.
Upon enquiring about the condition of Eliza, attending doctors asked Dinachandra to sign on a paper informing him that his wife might experience kidney failure.
After concealing Eliza's medical status for many days, attending doctors told Dinachandra that both the kidneys of Eliza were not functioning.
After many days of request to RIMS doctors, Eliza was at last referred to Shija Hospitals on May 29 .
However, Eliza died at around 11 last night after a prolonged treatment at the hospital.
Regarding the case, womenfolk of Langol Ningthou Leikai, said that Eliza expired due to the negligence of Dr Nabakishore.
