Imphal, September 14 2022: The State continued with single digit spike as only 5 new cases and no Covid related fatalities were reported during the last 24 hours.

The 5 new cases, all from general population, were reported from Imphal East (2), Imphal West (1), Churachandpur (1) and Senapati (1) were found positive while testing 294 samples at various testing centres putting the daily positivity rate at 1.7 percent which is slightly higher than yesterday's 1 percent.

With the addition of the 5 new cases, the cumulative number of positive cases in the State has reached 1,39,773 including 5022 CAPF personnel and 1,34,751 from the general population.

2 individuals were discharged today after completion of surveillance leaving 28 active cases as of today.

The recovery rate is now at 98.44 percent, slightly lower than yesterday's 98.45 percent.

As no Covid related fatalities were reported during the last 24 hours, the cumulative death toll in the State stays at 2148 .

2055 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered yesterday at various vaccination centres across the State.

The State, till yesterday, had administered a total of 32,09,332 doses of COVID-19 vaccine including 16,38,235 first dose, 13,15,329 second dose and 2,55,768 precautionary dose.

The State had vaccinated 62.38 percent of its eligible population with the first dose while 54.60 percent had received their second dose.
