TSLD demands opening of AC for each child

Dimapur, May 14 2013: The Tangkhul Shanao Long, Delhi (TSLD) or Tangkhul Women Union, Delhi has said the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Ukhrul should expeditiously open fixed deposit accounts for each child till they reach the age of 18 .

TSLD also said for the children who have already crossed 18, the money be deposited in their account, to be used for their welfare as per the convenience of their respective families.

According to TSLD, the government of Rajasthan had extended monetary support of Rs 10,000 to each of the rescued children, and the amount has already been handed over to CWC, Ukhrul on April 19 .
