Social Welfare Minister, Ak Mirabai; vice president of MPCC and MLA Dr Chaltonlien Amo; VP of MPTC and MLA, Kh Joykishan; CPI, Manipur State Council and other bodies have extended heartiest greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of Ningol Chakkouba.
In a greeting , Social Welfare Minister Ak Mirabai wished that the festival ushers in a developed Manipur and bring more health, love and peace to the people of the State.
Chaltonlien Amo wished Ningol Ckakkouba celebration brings in mutual love and trust among the people of the State.
MLA and vice president (in-charge) of MPTC urged the people to showcase the rich tradition of the State to the World through the celebration of Ningol Chakkouba while wishing the people of the state on the auspicious occasion.
Meanwhile, extending heartiest greetings to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Ningol Chakkouba, the Ethno Heritage Council (HERICOUN) has appealed all concerned not to resort to calling bandh or blockade on the occasion.
A statement issued by HERICOUN publicity secretary, Laishram Sanajaoba Meetei also appealed the Kuki State Demand Committee to review its decision to impose indefinite highways blockade in view of the Ningol Chakkouba festival.
