Imphal, March 13 2016:
The
proscribed UNLF has claimed
its hand in the bomb attacks
which occurred at Tuks and
Bond oil-pump, Hatta,
residence of one Th Satyabarta
at Brahmapur Bheigyabati
Leikai, residence of Hirihito
Company proprietor Elangbam
Toto at Keishamthong
Elangbam Leikai on March 5
and planting a bomb at the
Uripok Huidrom Leikai
residence of SK Oil agent S
Rajesh alias Bung on March 4 .
According to a press release issued by UNLF department
of publicity director M Sak-hen, the bomb attack at Tuks and
Bond oil-pump was the last warning to its proprietor
Achoibam Deben of Lamlai Mayai Leikai but presently stay-
ing at Mantri Pukhri Lamlongei.
The outfit accused A Deben of exploiting and subjugating
fledgeling entrepreneurs apart from confiscating properties of
other people.
Whereas Deben was warned repeatedly against
deceitful and arrogant activities, he challenged the outfit rather
than correcting himself.
For his arrogant attitude, Deben was asked to shut down
his oil pump through his manager Sanjit many months back.
Instead of shutting down the oil pump, Deben hired police
commandos to guard all his oil-pumps.
While regretting the injuries inflicted on a worker of the oil-
pump by the bomb blast, the UNLF said that befitting action
would be taken up against Deben if he continues to challenge
the party.
The bomb blast at the courtyard of Thokchom
Satyabarta alias Abhinash s/o Th Birchand of Brahmapur
Bheigyabati Leikai was also his last warning.
Th Satyabrata is a key member of a syndicate of CPWD
contractors.
Some other members are Oken of Haobam Marak,
Ajit of Uripok, Jojobi of Uripok, Ingocha of Haobam Marak
and Somorendro of Singjamei.
These people not only obtained contract works in the name
of the party but also took money in terms of percentage from
firms based outside the State in the name of giving the money
to the party.
However, rather than submitting the money thus
collected to the party, they kept the money with themselves.
They have been obtaining contract works from CPWD by
intimidating officials concerned.
Even as the party gave them several chances to confess
their wrongdoings and correct themselves, they turned against
the party and sent commandos to harass and arrest party's
activists, the outfit continued.
If Satyabarta fails to give in to the party, the party may take
up more stringent actions against him.
The outfit also warned all the people who have been seek-
ing and obtaining CPWD contract works in the name of the
party.
A bomb was planted at the residence of Sougrakpam
Rajesh alias Bung at Uripok Huidrom Leikai for swindling
SK Oil in collusion with some influential, wealthy people
which otherwise should be distributed to the masses.
He too defied the party's repeated appeals to correct him-
self.
The bomb blast at the Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai
residence of Elangbam Toto was carried out by a demo team
of UNLF/MPA for his failure to comply with what was
agreed between him and the party.
If he continues to challenge the party, necessary actions
would be initiated to punish him accordingly, the outfit added.
