UNACCO School Chanung students reach out to conflict survivors

As a part of community service, students (hostellers) of UNACCO School Chanung have reached out to the conflict survivors taking shelter at the relief camps.
Today, 14 students of UNACCO School Chanung accompanied by principal P Surachandara Singh, special officer RK Arun, mess manager O Raju Singh, junior administrative officer S Tarun Singh, resident doctor Dr Lisam Jeevan and girl's head warden Sureiya Irengbam visited the relief camp opened at the residence of N Sanajaoba, ex-Zilla Parishad, in Keibi Heikak Mapal and provided relief materials such as rice, dal, potato, edible oil & other essential items to the conflict survivors staying there.
According to a release issued by UNACCO School, a total of 74 conflict survivors (18 male, 56 female) from Nongsum, Thamnapokpi, Pukhao and Leitanpokpi are currently taking shelter at the relief camp.
As part of community service, relief materials were also provided to Yaibiren Children's Home, Keibi Sanapat on February 9, 2024 .
Also, on November 25, 2023, students and teachers of UNACCO School had contributed money to assist one Diviya from Leimaran, who was in need of Kidney transplant.
