MLA flaunts developmental works in Singngat AC

CCpur, December 10 2021: Singngat AC MLA and chairman of MANIREDA, Ginsuanhau Zou on Friday flaunted the developmental works he had undertaken during his two stints as a representative of the otherwise neglected assembly segment.

Addressing media persons at his Babupara quarters, the MLA stated that Singngat AC was devoid of any developmental works prior to his stint that began in 2012 .

It was only after he was elected as an MLA that signs of development started showing up.

The pace of development kicked up in Singngat AC after the coming of the BJP Government in 2017, he asserted.

Tongkai Baite, former ADC member from Sangaikot, alleged that since 1972, Singngat AC has not seen any sizable development works as it was always sidelined by the Government.

Situated in a region bordering Myanmar, Singngat has never been in the developmental map of the State for several years, he alleged.

"Ginsuanhau in pursuit of his deep commitment to face-lift Singngat AC, undertook various initiatives to bring the constituency at par with others - developing required infrastructures particularly in the health and education sector.

The upgradation of Singngat Community Health Centre to the standard of a Sub-District Hospital during the second wave of the pandemic was one instance to cite among many", he said.

Some of the developmental works flaunted today by the MLA and his workers include, Construction of Chura-Sugnu Road; Up-gra-dation of Singngat CHC to Sub-District Hospital; Construction of Residential School at Singngat; Construction of Teacher Transit accommodation at Singngat; Construction of Cultural Hall at Singngat; Water Supply for Singngat Sub-Divisional.

HQ and Creation of Suangdoh Sub-Division and construction of SDO Office.

The road connecting Singngat to Behiang was constructed by the BRO; construction of Sadhavna Mandop at Sangaikot; Construction of Sadhavna Mandop at Singngat; Upgradation of Suangdoh PHSC to PHC; Construction of Behiang Boys and Girls Hostel; Up-gradation of Singngat High School to Secondary Higher School; Solar Street Light for all village Churches and chief's house of Singngat A/C were some of the achievements the MLA claimed attained during his tenure.

Behiang Police Station became fully functional with quarters and office structure during his tenure and Sangaikot PS was renovated to make it fully functional.

The construction of PHSC building at Tuaitengphai; the construction of 49 school buildings, 23 toilets, and 31 Swatch Vidyalaya; besides the creation of Sangaikot PHC, Ngaljang PHSC and upgradation of Tuaitengphai PHSC to PHC and Saikot PHC to CHC were some more of the achievements.

Besides the above infrastructure development.

Water Supply schemes were taken up in 126 villages under JJM, innumerable Waiting Sheds, and Improvement of village roads, play grounds, and additional Class rooms, were taken up throughout his stint, he said.

Building for UPS and other educational institutions, Health and Wellness centers and distribution of Solar lamps for students free of cost were also taken up by him during his tenure, said Ginsuanhau Zou while adding that Singngat AC has seen much more developmental works during his tenure than the rest of the tenure since its inception.
