The Bishnupur district unit of Federation of Haomee (FoH) has filed a complaint against Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma for the controversial statement he gave on establishing a united Nation for Chin-Kuki-Zo people to integrate them while addressing a gatheirng at the United States recently.
In a statement, the Federation said that they have submitted a memorandum to Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Chief Minister N Biren Singh and the State police to take legal action against Lalduhoma.
FoH further said that they lodged the complaint as the speech delivered by the Mizoram Chief Minister at Maryland and Indianapolis in September challenges the territorial integrity of Manipur in particular and the National integrity at large apart from violating the provision of 3rd Schedule of Oath Taking.
It was unconstitutional, the Federation said, referring to the controversial statement.
The FoH urged the relevant authority to initiate legal action against Lalduhoma under different Sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) viz Section 47 (Abetment in India of offences outside India), Section 48 (Abetment outside India for offence in India), Section 152 (Act endangering sovereignty, unity and integrity of India), Section 153 (Waging war against Government of any foreign State at peace with Government of India), Section 154 (Committing depredation on territories of foreign State at peace with Government of India) and Section 196 (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language etc and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) among others.
