Over 11 Kgs of WY tablets seized

Altogether 11.263 Kgs of WY tablets were seized by Moreh police last night, reports our correspondent.
Acting on a specific tip off about possible cross-border smuggling of contraband drugs, a team of Moreh police laid an ambush near Sunrise Ground (close to BP 78) .
At around 9 pm, the police team saw a bike (Kenbo) crossing into India from Myanmar.
Even as the police team shouted to the rider to halt, he turned around sped away towards Myanmar.
However, a sack carried on the bike fell down and was left behind.
On opening the sack, the police team found 10 large packets containing WY tablets.
In total, the 10 packets weighed 11.263 Kgs.
On the other hand, a team of NAB arrested a woman from Kwakta Bazar along with 651 gms of heroin yesterday.
The (local) market value of the seized heroin is estimated to be Rs 13 lakh.
The arrested woman has been identified as Lhingneikim alias Kimneo Kipgen (30) w/o Letkholal alias Lalboi Khongsai of Lhanghoi Veng, Churachandpur.
