Imphal, April 09 2022: In what could be termed as a very rare and unfamiliar incident, one VDF personnel stabbed the proprietor of Raj Electronics at Paona Keithel near Usha Cinema Hall in the shoulder for not giving discount on a certain electronic item.

The VDF personnel namely Md Ashif Khan (28), s/o Abdul Gani of Kshetri Chandam Leikai posted at Imphal West Reserve Police was later handed over to City Police Station by a group of people after sound beating.

According to reliable information, an argument broke out between the VDF personnel and the proprietor of the store Rajendra Prasad (51) of Telipati as the former sought some discount on one electronic item.

Reportedly, the proprietor was stabbed using a sharp object in the left shoulder for refusing to give discount.

The VDF personnel reportedly received a sound beating from those who stood nearby.

It is reported that the owner of the shop only sustained a minor injury.
