Imphal, February 08 2019:
Warning that the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) 2016 will open floodgates once it becomes an Act, the proscribed UNLF has called upon all the people of WESEA to fight the Bill collectively and ensure that the Bill never sees the light of day even if one has to pay with his or her life.
A statement issued by the outfit's Military Affairs Committee (MAC) on the occasion of the 32nd raising day of MPA (UNLF's armed wing) asserted that India occupied the whole of WESEA (the so called North East) about 70 years back.
Following the Indian occupation, the region's political dynamics have been changed drastically.
At one point of time, there was a possibility of forming an independent country through unification of all the States of WESEA but such a possibility no longer exist now, said the MAC.
The Government of India's persistent thrust to get the CAB 2016 passed has literally put the whole WESEA and Manipur on flames.
The Government of India has been literally keeping all the people of WESEA on tenterhooks and this process of complete subjugation started as early as 1947-49 when India occupied the whole of WESEA including Manipur.
India sees WESEA as a threat because people of WESEA and Indian people have separate origins, they look different, they belong to separate races and the people of WESEA were never a part of Indian history, the MAC alleged.
People of WESEA belong to Mongoloid stock and they (Indian leaders) know that the people of this region can never be assimilated completely into the Indian way of life.
Indian leaders are also afraid that WESEA will one day become an independent country.
It was with a sinister motive of thwarting such a possibility and annihilate all the people of WESEA that the Government of India came up with CAB 2016, it said.
All the people of Manipur and WESEA ought to take a collective resolution to fight and defeat such diabolic policy of the Government of India, the MAC continued.
The Government of India has been plotting to overwhelm all the indigenous people of WESEA through transplantation of tens of millions of overseas Hindu immigrants.
To make Hindu community a predominant community in the entire North East region is one strategy of the Government of India.
Once the CAB 2016 becomes an Act, Hindu population in WESEA will jump by millions overnight.
To uphold and consolidate its status as a nuclear power in South Asia, India intends to keep the WESEA as their permanent fortress vis-a-vis the growing power and outreach of China.
As such, Government of India has already created conditions to make the military occupation of WESEA permanent.
Driven by a logic that insurgency will be there in WESEA for a very long time, New Delhi has adopted a new position of deploying their military forces permanently in the region, asserted the MAC.
To fight such multi-pronged strategies of the Government of India is one common campaign of MP A and other revolutionary groups of the land and to drive away the Indian military forces is one inevitable responsibility of the revolutionary movement, it asserted.
It then conveyed best wishes to all fraternal armed revolutionary groups of WESEA.
It further paid tributes to all the revolutionaries who had sacrificed their lives in the course of the liberation movement as well as all those civilians who have been killed by Indian military forces.
The MAC also conveyed best wishes to all the revolutionary cadres and leaders who have been languishing in prisons and the general public.
