Dry run held at district hqs, other places

Imphal, January 08 2021: The second dry run for Covid vaccination was held at the district level except Imphal West and Thoubal as part of the Nationwide mock drill today.

At Senapati district, the dry run for Covid vaccination was conducted at 3 sites, District Hospital, Senapati DHQs; Sub-District Hospital, Mao and Primary Health Centre, Maram.

In each site, the Medical Officers concerned conducted the mock vaccination on 25 healthcare workers.

The vaccination site was divided into three designated rooms or areas-waiting room, vaccination room and observation room.

The medical teams and the district level task force on Covid-19 vaccination also held a review meeting at the Deputy Commissioner's chamber.

Feedback gathered from the drill were discussed.

Noney
The vaccination mock drill was held at Noney PHC too.

Co-WIN web portal was also tested during the mock exercise.

Ksh Robert, DC Noney, Dr G Majachungliu (Gracy) CMO Noney, RK Bijata Devi, District Programme Manager; MA Kasim, PRO, UNDP, Manipur; Dr Thaimei Gairanlung Rabi, DSO Noney; Dr Kamei Lumjangliu MO i/c PHC Noney and others participated in the programme.

Tamenglong
A similar mock drill was also exercised at District Hospital, Tamenglong.

Tamenglong DC Armstrong Pame, SDO Mahesh Chaudhary, SDPO Josiah Pamei, Addl SP Karthik Malladi, CMO Dr Chambo Gonmei, District Immunization Officer (and also Dist Nodal Officer) Dr Sunil Kamei took part in the exercise.

Bishnupur and Moreh
The dry run for Covid-19 vaccination was also conducted at Moreh and District Hospital, Bishnupur.

The mock exercise at Bishnupur was carried out in the presence of Konthoujam AC MLA, Sapam Ranjan Singh, who is also Advisor (Health) to the Chief Minister.

At the event, MLA S Ranjan said that the mock drill was conducted under the supervision of the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister to familiarise the district and block-level officials with the process of Covid-19 roll-out and vaccination.

The vaccination programme may begin soon, he said.

DC Bishnupur Neeta Arambam; Mission Director of State Health Mission Society Manipur, Dr N Shyamjai Singh; CMO Bishnupur, Dr L Gojendra Singh; MS of the District Hospital, Dr N Bino Singh and secretary of Indian Red Cross Society Bishnupur, M Jagat among others took part in the programme.
