MMWO celebrates foundation day

Manipur Meitei-Pangal Welfare Organisation (MMWO) celebrated its 14th Foundation Day at Hotel Castle, Palace Compound today.
It was attended by Dr Makhonmani Mongsaba, Assistant Professor, Manipur University of Culture; Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh, Secretary, Centre for Meitei Pangal Cultural Studies Manipur; Boboi Korimayum, president, MMWO HQ; Th Manihar, president, FOCS; Ph Nando Luwang, president, AMUCO; Hasimuddin Moinam, chief advisor, MMWO HQ; Alhaj Moulana Muheiyuddin, president, UMPC; Alhaj Aarafat Ali, president, MPCM; Yumnam Devadutta, president, IPOM; Khundongbam Shini, president, MWF and Alhaj Syed Siraj Ahamed, chief advisor, NSKA, UCADASIM as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Boboi Korimayum extended his warm wishes to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of MMWO's 14th Foundation Day.
He expressed his anguish over the conflict which has been going on for more than 18 months and called for unity & integrity of all the communities residing in Manipur.
He also questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's continued silence on the situation in Manipur, which has been engulfed in an unprecedented violence since May 3, 2023, leading to loss of many precious lives and rendered thousands of people homeless.
Accusing the PM of treating the people of Manipur as second class citizens, he asserted that the PM is quick to speak up about various issues happening across the globe but has not uttered a single word about the prolonged conflict in Manipur.
Furthermore, Boboi Korimayum appealed to all the people to stop the in-fighting and come together to protect the integrity of Manipur.
