Shyamkumar petitions Speaker, Disqualify 3 more MLAs

Imphal, July 05 2014 : After written applications seeking disqua-lification of Trinamool Cong- ress MLAs Kh Joykishan and Th Bishwajit on the charge of anti-party activities were submitted, Trinamool Cong-ress State Unit President Th Shyamkumar has sought disqualification of other party MLAs O Lukhoi, M Kunjo and K Sarat through a fresh written complaint submitted to the State Legislative Assembly Speaker.

Even as the State Assembly Secretariat has started looking into the said complaints of the State Unit President, it is likely that there might be some changes in the seating arrangement of the State Assembly.

In his application, Th Shyamkumar pleaded the Speaker to disqualify Thang-meiband AC MLA Kh Joy- kishan, Thongju AC MLA Th Bishwajit, Wangoi AC MLA O Lukhoi, Hiyanglam AC MLA M Kunjo and Kon-thoujam AC MLA K Sarat for indulging in anti-party activities after they got elected on Trinamool Congress ticket.

It may be mentioned that the MLAs had already been suspended from the primary membership of the party on the same charge of indulging in anti-party activities.

Following the recent political development, seating arrangement in the State Assembly is likely to witness some changes though a final decision is yet to be taken by the Assembly Secretariat.
