Accused uncle pulled up, house torched

In connection with the murder case of Oinam Sharif, police have pulled up the boy's uncle (father's elder brother).
Meanwhile, a mob set ablaze house of the accused.
Oinam Tenden (41) s/o Ibotombi of Oinam Sawombung Awang Leikai was apprehended by a team of Wangoi police station in connection with the murder case of Sharif at around 7.30 pm yesterday.
Tenden is elder brother of Sharif's father Dilawar.
Tenden's house was set ablaze by a mob at around 10.30 am today.
12 year old O Sharif, student of Little Master English School was found dead inside a thicket on the bed of Imphal river, just a little distance away from Imphal Barrage in the afternoon of December 28 .
Meanwhile, a press release issued by the JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Oinam Sharif alias Muba said that Tenden's house was dismantled in accordance to a decision of a public meeting held this morning at Oinam Sawombung Imphal Barrage community hall.
Tenden and his family have been expelled from the locality for good, said another resolution of the meeting.
The same penalty would be awarded to families/individuals if they are found giving shelter to Tenden.
The JAC would remain alive until the murder case of O Sharif is cracked satisfactorily and the guilty punished according to law.
