Mirabai assures help to Pradipkumar

Issuing a clarion call to all the elected representatives of the people to work in the interest of the land and people, Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai has stated that it is imperative that the elected leaders understand the aspirations of the people.
Mirabai said this during a reception function accorded to all the newly elected members of the Zilla Parishads, Pradhans, ward members, newly selected MPSC candidates and body builder Kh Pradipkumar, who bagged the Mister Asia title recently at the community hall of Langjing Achouba organised by the Patsoi Block Congress Committee today.
The Social Welfare Minister also assured that she would keep aside Rs 5,000 each month to meet the dietary demands of Kh Pradipkumar, a HIV positive man, who recently won the Mister Asia Title.
Addressing the gathering, Mirabai said that the function is the opportune moment for all elected representatives of the people to dwell on the need to unitedly work for the welfare of the people.
Stating that unity is the key to development, Mirabai urged all concerned to shed their differences and unitedly work for the good of the people.

"All the elected representative, me included, need to shed our differences and pool in our resources and then work together as one in the interest of the people," she added.
Claiming that all out efforts are being made to develop Patsoi Assembly Constituency, Mirabai said that within three years, the roads will be developed in the Constituency.
Drinking water will also be made available to the people, she promised.
Turning her attention on the Panchayat, Mirabai urged the elected members to stick to the guidelines and urged to work together and realise the goals and objectives of taking governance to the grass root level.
It is important that the elected members take the understanding of Gram Sabha to the people, she added.
The wishes and aspirations of the people should be taken into consideration while charting out the work programme at the grass root level.
Assuring that due considerations would be given on the help and assistance that may be given to Pradipkumar, Mirabai said that she would consult the Chief Minister on this.
