Imphal, August 01 2021:
The Pangal Students Organisation (PSO) Manipur said that the admission process of Class XI initiated by some private schools across the State before the declaration of High School Leaving Certificate Examination 2021 should be rescinded.
Pangal Students Organisation in a press release stated that some private schools in the State continued with the admission process of Class XI and are on the verge of completing the process despite the pertaining order issued by the Director of Education (S), L Nandakumar on July 26 directing all the schools to stop the admission process to Class XI with immediate effect until the result of Class X is declared by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM).
Expressing concern that amid the grim situation of COVID-19 pandemic where the people are finding it difficult to make ends meet, some private schools started the admission process of Class XI before the declaration of Class X exam which is really unfortunate and not called for, added the statement.
Reacting strongly against such acts, the student body sought the intervention of the State to nullify such admission process.
Further the Pangal Students Organisation urged all concerned to refrain from such activities in the interest of the students amid the pandemic.
