KSDC reiterates demand

Kuki State Demand Committee has reiterated that the political dialogue with the Kuki militants under SoO should be started at an earliest time as per the assurance given by the Government to avoid resumption of the indefinite public blockade which has been temporarily suspended since January 29, 2013 .
In a statement, Information and Publicity Secretary of KSDC S.George Guite said that the official process being undertaken by the Government of Manipur and Government of India for political dialogue with the Kuki militants under SoO including KSDC is highly appreciated and the day to day development in this regard is being observed.
So, the political dialogue should be started at earliest possible to avoid resumption of the suspended public blockade which was called to press the demand for creation of a Kuki state.
George further informed that KSDC has inducted Rev & Dr.Lalkhawlien Pulamte to the post of Vice-President (Administration) of the KSDC Central Executive Committee.
Moreover, District wise Committee (comprising of seven members each) too has been set up under the Chairmanship of Pu Lhunkhothang Khongsai for Churachandpur, Pu Jangkhohou for Ukhrul, Pu Nehminthang for Tamenglong, Pu Boipu Tuboi for Sadar Hills and Pu Thangtong for Chandel district.
