Kut greetings

Chief Minister O Ibobi, Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Th Lokeshwar Singh and KIM have conveyed heartiest greetings to the people of the State, especially Chin-Kuki-Mizo brethren, on the auspicious and joyous occasion of Kut.
In a message, Chief Minister O Ibobi said that Kut, the post harvest festival of Kuki-Chin-Mizo group of people, occupies a unique position not only among Kuki-Chin-Mizo group of people but also among other communities in the State.
Extending heartiest greetings and best wishes to all on the occasion, the CM prayed that the festival would strengthen the bond of love, peace and brotherhood amongst the different communities living in the State.
Conveying a firm belief that the celebration of Kut would tighten the bond of love among different communities of the State irrespective of caste and creed, Assembly Speaker Th Lokeshwar Singh called upon all concerned to forget ill-wills, enmity among the people and try to bring in a prosperous State with the coming of the festival.
Extending warmest Kut greetings (Kut Chibai) to all Kuki-Chin-Mizo ethnic brethren on the occasion of Kut, the Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) conveyed its wishes to all Kutters that the celebration serves as a landmark of reconciliation and unification for the Chin-Kuki-Mizo and Zomi brethren and peaceful coexistence among the different communities of the State as a whole.
The advent of the auspicious day reminded the people of the glorious past when the ancestors lived peacefully and independently and the days when they bravely stood and fought against the mighty British invaders who attempted to conquer their ancestors' land, said a KIM greeting message.
KIM once again called upon all the Chin-Kuki-Mizo and other coexistent communities to shed differences and stand united for peaceful coexistence and prosperous future as the Kukis re-dedicated their stands for 'non-communal,' 'peaceful coexistence' and 'justice for all' .
