Sharda speaks out against money power

Imphal, December 31 2021: BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi has urged the people of Manipur, especially youth and women to discipline those candidates who think they can buy votes in the ensuing Assembly election.

Addressing an inaugural function of 'Eigi Emung BJP gee Emung' campaign of former MLA RK Anand at Kwakeithel Akham Leikai, A Sharda continued that the youth and women have a major role to play in the 2022 election.

She then urged the gathering to teach a befitting lesson to those candidates who think they can exchange the compassionate and motherly nature of women with money so as to ensure their defeat in the election.

At the function, the party flag was also hoisted at the residence of RK Anand.

Continuing that women of Manipur are known for their active participation in many issues of the State, apart from looking after the needs of their families, the BJP State unit chief maintained that the entire world revere the 'contribution of Imas (mothers) in our society'.

The valour which the women of Manipur have shown in different chapters of Manipur history is needed to elect the right candidates in the upcoming election, A Sharda said.

A Sharda also mentioned the different schemes launched by the BJP Government at both the Centre and the State for the upliftment of the youth such as Startup, Standup, Vocal for Local, and Fit India Movement among others.

She then urged the youth and the women to take a crucial role to ensure the return of the BJP led Government at both the Centre and State.

If the BJP returns to power then the State will see more development in different sectors, Sharda said, urging the gathering to elect a BJP candidate from Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC too.

RK Anand also spoke at the event.

The former MLA said that the people have full faith in the BJP as the party has taken up different developmental schemes for the well being of the masses.

The BJP will furnish its report card to every household by visiting them so that the people can have a first hand knowledge of the work done by the party, he added.

RK Anand also said that the party will surely give its ticket to the most dedicated and selfless candidate.
