Many plan to observe Nupi Lan Day

Imphal, December 07: Various women and social organizations will observe Nupi Lan Day all over the State on December 12 in memory of the great uprising of Manipuri women against artificial scarcity of food grains during the British regime.

All Manipur Women's Social Reformation & Development Samaj will observe Nupi Lan Day on December 12 at its head office, Konung Mamang, according to a press release.

The release also urged all its units to observe the day.

Yumnam Khunou Women Social Welfare Association in association with Nupi Lan Observation Committee (NOC) will observe Nupi Lan Day at Yumnam Khunou Community Hall.

Meira Paibi Apunba Lup, Ningthoukhong in association with NOC and MPAL, Bishnupur district will observe Nupi Lan Day at Nachou Community Hall.

Nupi Lan Day observation function organized by Women Welfare Association, Konthoujam, in association with Konthoujam Apunba Nupi Lup and NOC will also be held at Konthoujam Kangjeibung Community Hall.
