48 hrs public curfew in Jiri

Jiribam, July 30 2015:
Continuing the pro-ILP stir, JCILPS, Jiribam branch has called a 48-hour public curfew from 7 pm today till 7 pm of August 1 in Jiribam, reports Jiri News Network.
JCILPS, Jiribam branch along with the people of Jiribam area also formed a human chain along the National Highway.
Decision to impose the public curfew was taken during a meeting which was attended by JCILPS, Jiribam branch, AMSU, district committee, Jiribam, JIMPAL and other civil society organisations of Jiribam today.
Urging the people to extend co-operation during the public curfew, JCILPS, Jiribam branch stated that media and medical emergencies will be exempted from the purview of the curfew.
All Jiribam Van Owners' and Drivers' Association convened a meeting on the ongoing pro-ILP movement at the residence of the association's president, H Nabachandra Singh today.
During the meeting, the members of the association pledged and resolved to support the JCILPS in all course of agitation.
A two-minute silence was also observed as a mark of respect to Sapam Robinhood.
The statement also demanded the State Government to punish the police personnel responsible for the death of Sapam Robinhood.
