Imphal, October 29 2024: The Department of Fisheries, Manipur will be organizing Fair-cum-Fish Crop Competition, 2024 on November 2 on the eve of Ningol Chakkouba Festival at Hapta Kangjeibung, Imphal East.

The notification further enlisted the terms and conditions for the interested farmers as follows - the farmer should produce at least 1000 kilograms of fish and the farmers should sell their fish at the rate fixed by the department.

It is further informed that the department will bear transportation charges for the participating farmers and cash prizes will be awarded to the prize winners.

The first prize winner will be awarded a sum of Rs 1 lakh while the second and third prize winners will be awarded a sum of Rs 70,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively.

The highest producer of indigenous fish will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 20,000 while Rs 10,000 will be given to 20 consolation prize winners.

All the interested fish farmers have been notified to apply/contact their respective District Fishery Officer(s)/Chief Executive Officer(s) on or before October 30, 2024 .
